Our international aerospace client is expanding their Business Aviation activities in Europe and requires an experienced Composite Structures Project Engineer to support and coordinate designers in detail design of structural assemblies.
The role:
- Conceptual design of composite airframe structures (Autocad, Catia v.5)
- Support and coordination of designers in detail design of specific structural assemblies
- Support of stress and loads engineers with load assumptions and proof of strength and tests
- Support of prototype production and start of series production
- Verification and compliance showing against the relevant paragraphs of CS 23. Documentation within compliance reports.
Requirements:
- Proactive, flexible and responsive person with very good conceptual and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player.
- Practical experience in a similar task in particular experience in design and production of wet-layup composite structures
- Good knowledge of the relevant CS 23 certification requirements
- Catia and Autocad experience
- Good English language skills (spoken and written)
- Background as a graduate engineer in aerospace or mechanical engineering
Desirable:
- German language skills beneficial
- Pilot license beneficial
- Shop floor experience beneficial
