Networks & Communications/ IT Systems Consultant required with System design and Development to work with our client in India on various airport projects, initially in Mumbai. The IT Networks Consultant will be required to define tender packages for the network and communication systems (managed network design, VoIP telephone systems, PABX telephone systems, wireless networking and communications infrastructure and trunk mobile radio) to support airport operation, evaluate tenders, make recommendations and work with successful bidders, implementing and deploying their systems.
Requirements:
Candidates must be commercially aware and able to identify business opportunities and have experience of some of the following airport systems :
- Managed network design for airport-wide solutions hosting VoIP telephones, CCTV
- Common use and other core airport systems
- VoIP telephone systems
- PABX telephone systems
- Wireless networking
- Communications infrastructure for cell phones and trunk mobile radio
- Broad knowledge of systems and software development methods and environments and Project Management experience.
Role will involve evaluating tenders, making recommendations to the client and working with the successful bidder to implement their systems.
Candidates should be highly motivated and adaptable to change, able to make decisions and drive things forward. A solid engineering skill set and IT experience backed by the ability to think beyond the current requirements, and manage customer expectations effectively is required.
This is an opportunity to join a growing specialist consultancy team in India supporting the company's client through complete airport development projects, working for a UK based company whose role in India is to provide systems and domain expertise from project inception through to operational handover.
