Maintenance Electrical

We are looking for experienced maintenance electricians for our client, based in the London area to conduct planned and reactive work to electrical systems and associated equipment.
The Role:
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance as per the 52 week plan to LV electrical systems at 36 station locations
- Undertake reactive fault fixing works to electrical systems and ancillary equipment as raised on an ad-hoc basis over the term of the contract.
- Carry out additional variation install and remedial works as instructed by the FM Manager
- Conduct tests and inspections as instructed.
- Carry out fault finding on complex faults.
- Produce reports on faults with detailed analysis as required.
- Ensure van stocks are adequate for the type of works being undertaken, advising the stores Supervisor of changes required
- Assisting with non electrical works as required on an ad-hoc basis.
- Supervising subcontractors as appropriate.
- Ensuring all information is updated into a handheld device at point of work.
- Reporting back on any PPM issues requiring remedial works.
- Ensuring all equipment requiring testing has valid inspection / test certificates. Any without will be returned to the stores.
- Liaising with the Library staff etc to ensure that they are satisfied with the service they are getting.
- Ensuring all work is undertaken to a valid method statement and risk assessment.
General
- Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental legislation and standards.
- Carry out additional ad hoc duties as required
- Have an awareness of the environmental aspects associated with the post and a willingness to minimise any actual or potential impacts.
- The person will also be required to work on-call for out of hours work on a specified shift rota. The person will be paid additionally for this.
Education
- HNC / HND Electrical qualification (or relevant other)
Experience and Knowledge
- Understanding of Electrical Maintenance
- Awareness of other systems such as fire / telecommunication
- Awareness of the requirements for building fabric maintenance etc.
Personal Skills and Qualities
- Good planning / organisation skills.
- Ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation
