An opportunity has arisen for an Operational Analyst to join a niche consultancy within the ATM domain with the added potential to grow into an expert consultant supported by the business. The Operational Analyst will have a background in or good knowledge of mathematical and statistical analysis accompanied by a keen interest or willing to learn about the Aviation and ATM and Airports industries. The role will provide input and support on:
• Operations – Development and documentation of future air traffic operational concepts
• Simulations – Preparation, conduct, analysis and reporting of ATM and airport simulations, both real time and fast time
• Investigation – Validation, Safety and Human Factors assessments

Applicants will be expected to have:
• A good degree level qualification in a numerate, analytical or engineering / aerospace discipline
• Demonstrable mathematical / analytical capabilities
• Sound understanding of statistical analysis methods and their applications
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to apply technical results to a non-technical audience
• Innovation – You will be expected to contribute to the business, in the way they work, their products and how the industry works, always looking for ways in which the company can improve its offering
• The aptitude and attitude required to work in a small, growing consultancy
• Eligibility to work in the UK and to pass the appropriate security screening procedure
• Willingness to work overseas for varied periods of time

Experience or interest in any of the following is an advantage:
• Mathematical modelling
• Simulation
• Experience in one or more programming languages
• Aviation
