Chief Air Traffic Control Instructor
Location: Southern United Kingdom
Salary: £70k plus benefits
An experienced Chief ATC Instructor is invited to apply for this new role to head up and lead a team of dedicated professional ATC experts located in Southern UK. The Centre will be building a strong instructor base and we are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and experienced controllers at senior level to be considered for the role as Chief Instructor.
The Role:
The Chief ATC Instructor will oversee the management and development and delivery of training in the class room and simulator environments; ATC training and the delivery of the Quality System: currency and applicability of content; training delivery consistency; continuing professional development of trainers.
• Working with the board, and its advisors, to achieve consistency of business branding and delivery style.
• Establishing and maintaining a workforce of suitably qualified trainers.
• Working with the board to promote training capability, define training requirements, and appreciate future developments of the industry and the various regulatory and standards bodies.

Requirements:
• Must have substantive experience in delivering ATC training to ICAO standards.
• Must have experience in the management and creation of training materials and courses
• Must have served as an ATCO, preferably in a civil context, and/or in a military context.
• Must have existing ratings for Aerodrome, Approach, and Approach Radar. Ratings for Area/Area Radar would be an advantage.
• Should have recent and relevant exposure to the regulatory processes associated with certification of ATC training materials, Training personnel and assessments.
• Should have sound familiarity with ATC Simulators and their application.
• Beneficial if the candidate has interests and exposure to other areas of Aviation and aviation related training.
